Apr 4 Fixtures 2008: Fixtures 2008 for the new season can be downloaded in Excel for all Divisions. Check out who you've got first game of the season. I'll be posting the fixtures on the site in the next couple of weeks.
Nov 4 League and Cup Doubles: Draycott A completed a league and cup double with a 3½-½ victory over Florence A in the Sporting Trophies Cup. Basford A captured the Dale Cup with a 3-1 win over Boro A, as they also completed the double, adding to their Men 2 title. Thanks to Stone Tennis Club for the use of their courts, and all the Cup Results for this year can be found here.
Sep 22 Cup News Latest: Draycott A and Florence A will contest the Sporting Trophies final on 23rd September 1pm kick off at Draycott. Cup Results for this year can be found here.
Aug 18 Promotion & Relegation Round Up: It's been a good season for Basford as they claimed 3 titles, a quick round up of who are this years Manchester Uniteds and Leeds Uniteds:
Ladies: Champions: Basford
Men 1: Champions: Draycott A Relegated: Florence B, Draycott B
Men 2: Champions: Basford A Promoted: Boro A Relegated: Boro B, Stone C
Men 3: Champions: Alsager A Promoted: Penkhull Relegated: Florence E, Alsager FR A
Men 4: Champions: Basford B Promoted: Bucknall
Mixed: Champions: Florence
Aug 4 Basford Ladies Take Title: Despite a spirited challenge from Abbey View A, Basford ladies retained their title. A thumping 4-0 win for Endon C over Abbey View C, (who had aspirations for promotion) ensured their survival in Men 3 and condemned Alsager FR A to Division 4 tennis next season.
Aug 2 Draycott Wrap up Men 1: A 2-2 draw with Stone A ensured Draycott A of yet another Mens 1 title. Elsewhere, and with not all results in Penkhull hold 2nd spot in Men 3 but could be pipped if Abbey View C or Draycott C have had big wins, whilst in Men 4 Bucknall secured promotion, and are likely to be joined by Basford.
Jul 29 Basford Edge Clear in Ladies: Basford edged clear in the race for the Ladies Championship with a 2½-1½ win over title rivals Abbey View A. It's gone down to the wire in Mens 3 where 4 teams are still in with a chance of promotion. Penkhull appear to be favourites, going into the last round of matches with a 1 point advantage and they play bottom team Florence E.
Jul 28 Boro A Promoted to Division 1: Boro A confirmed their promotion to Divison 1 whilst condemning Stone C to Men 3.
Jul 22 Alsager A Men 3 Champions: Alsager A have secured promotion to Division 2 and are now also assured of the Men 3 title
Jul 21 Draycott A on Course For Title: Draycott A are on course to retain their Mens 1 title, although their B team look certain to be relegated. Basford A secured the Mens 2 title and should be joined by Boro A, with Boro B heading in the opposite direction into Men 3. Alsager A look set for Division 2 and there are 3 teams fighting it out for the other spot. Boro C and Basford B look like been promoted to Division 3 although Bucknall are not yet out of it.
Jul 15 Mixed Title for Florence: Florence have retained the Mixed title, whilst it is a straight fight between Basford and Abbey View A in the Ladies, with both teams level on points at the top.
Jul 14 Basford A Promoted: Basford A are assured of a place in Mens 1 next season following their latest 4-0 win,their 8th 4-0 win of the season. Alsager A have made a break in Men 3, but it is tight for 2nd spot with Penkhull, Abbey View C and Florence D battling it out.
Jul 6 Rain Hampers Play: It's not only Wimbledon that is affected by the rain, it's also had an impact on this seasons league as once again some of this weeks matches were rained off. Fortunately, Nadal doesn't compete in the City & Suburban league otherwise he may have had some harsh words for the league schedulers!!!
Jul 6 Cup Draws Made: Jon Copnell has sent through the Cup Draws and with it some instructions. Because of court allocation of clubs with multiple team entrants, home and away teams have had to be ordered as the draws, and not necessarily the home team being the top team, also the full draw details along with opposing captains contact details will be sent out in the post. Home team captains to give 3 dates to the away team captain proposing the 3 dates for the fixture.
Jul 3 Familiar Story at Top of Men 1: Draycott A and Florence A have broken away at the top of Men 1 and this week's clash between the rivals could decide where the championship is heading. Elsewhere, Basford A continue to steamroller their way to the Division 2 title, Alsager A and Penkhull are on course for promotion to Division 2, whilst just 3 points separate the top 5 in Men 4
Jun 17 Warming Up at The Top: Draycott A are ahead at the top of Division 1 but are closely followed by their rivals, whilst in Division 3 Alsager A are looking for successive promotions. Basford are going well in Mens Divison 2 and in 4, whilst their ladies team are level on points with Abbey View A at the half way stage.

Jun 10 Cup Competition Entries: The closing date for entries to this years cup competitions is 30th June. So far only 6 teams have entered and if you would like to enter a team then submit your details to castlcups@hotmail.co.uk
Jun 10 Men 1 Looking Tight: Both mens divisions 1 and 4 are looking tight at the top, but Penkhull and Alsager A are going well in Men Division 3.
Jun 2 Basford A and Boro C off To Flyers: Both Basford A and Boro C have made flying starts to their seasons in Mens Divisions 2 and 4 and are already setting a cracking pace for the rest of the Division to try and follow.
May 27 Basford Ladies off to Good Start: Basford ladies have made their usual good start to the season as they set about defending their title.
May 25 Basford Website: Basford have also developed a new website - it's looking good. There's also an Open Mixed Doubles Event going on at Basford on Sunday July 22nd 10 o'clock kick off and a fiver for snapping. For more details follow the link.
May 25 Season Shaping Up: Abbey View A and Knypersley have made strong starts in Mens 1, as have Basford A and Boro A in Mens 2 with Penkhull going well in Mens 3. It's fairly even "Kirk" stevens in Mens 4.
May 19 Rain Dampens Start of Season: Many of the opening games have been hindered by the weather, but good starts have been made by Draycott A and Abbey View A in Mens 1 and Basford A in Mens 2

May 13 Early Results Trickling In: Abbey View A and Knypersley A have made good starts to the new season in Mens Division 1 as they attempt to break Draycotts domination in recent years. Boro A and Basford A have also started well in Mens Division 2.
Apr 30 Fixtures 2007: A little later than planned, fixtures for the Mens Leagues 2007 are now on line.

Introduction and Site Guide:
Welcome to the website of the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire City & Suburban Tennis League. The league has now been online since March 2000 and by following the links situated on the left hand side of the page you can take a look back at how the league was started and has developed over the years. Clubs have a chance to provide information about themselves, such as facilities they can offer and membership details. For each of the mens four divisions, the ladies two divisions and the mixed division there are details of up and coming fixtures, a comprehensive results service, and up to date league tables. The three cup competitions are also covered in similar detail. A list of previous winners of the leagues and cups is also available, and in the event of any misunderstandings during a match a copy of the leagues rules and regulations is provided. All the results and tables from the seasons 2000 to 2005 can be found in the archive section. There are also a number of links to other tennis websites.
