Sep 28 Draycott B Pull off Houdini Act: Draycott B beat Stone A 4-0 to retain their Division 1 status by just ½ point, and condemning Stone A to Mens 2.
Aug 30 Draycott C Secure Promotion To Mens 1: Draycott C secured promotion to Mens 1 with a 3-1 victory over Abbey View B to ensure the runners up spot in Mens 2.
Aug 26 Draycott A Retain Title: Draycott A have retained their Mens 1 title, pipping Florence A to the championship by just 2 points.
Aug 25 Final Week of the Season: With a few results still outstanding, the destiny of Mens 1 title is still unknown as is the second promotion spot in Mens 2.
Aug 20 Draycott on the Verge: Draycott A are in pole position as they head into the final game of the season with a 2 point advantage over Florence A. At the other end of the table Draycott B need a 4-0 victory over Stone A to retain their status in Mens 1, at the expense of their opponents.
Aug 18 Basford B Secure Mens 3 Title: Basford B have secured the Mens 3 title, finishing ahead of Florence 3 in the race for the championship.
Aug 11 Westlands Crowned Mens 2 Champions: Westlands made it 12 wins out of 12 as they secured the Mens 2 title. Stone B or Draycott C are likely to join them and they meet on the last day of the season. Basford B are favourites to take the Mens 3 title.
Aug 03 Big Win for Florence A: Florence A pulled off a 3-1 victory over rivals and defending champions, Draycott A at the top of Men's 1, which very much keeps alive their hopes of winning the title.
Jul 30 Tight Finishes to the Season: Just 2½ points separate Endon A, Draycott B and Stone A at the foot of Men 1 as they battle it out to avoid joining Abbey View A in the drop to Men's 2. Basford B and Florence C are fighting it out at the top of Men's 3, with Stone B or Draycott C contesting the runners up spot to Westlands in Mens 2. Endon B and Stone C are almost certain to be relegated to Mens 3.
Jul 20 Tied at the Top of the Ladies: Draycott and Basford have finished the season tied at the top of the Ladies Division with 22 points. Who takes the title? Presumably it will be Draycott who have more wins and a better record against Basford, during the season.
Jul 14 Draycott C Enjoy 2 Big Wins: Draycott C have enjoyed 2 big wins in recent weeks, to lift themselves into 2nd spot in Men's 2. Men's 1 title looks as though it will be decided by the clash between Draycott A and Florence A at the end of this month.
Jul 10 Draycott or Basford for Ladies Title: Draycott or Basford will take the Ladies title, just 2 points separate them with 2 fixtures remaining. Abbey View A are almost certain to be relegated to Men's 2 but there is a battle to see who joins them. It doesn't look good for Endon B or Stone C at the foot of Men's 2, with Basford B, Florence C and Abbey View C challenging for promotion to Men's 2.
Jun 25 Season Reaches Halfway Point: Halfway through the season, and there is already some distance at the top and bottom of the tables.
Jun 15 Westlands Run Continues: Westlands strong start to the season continued as they chalked up their 6th successive win at the top of Men's 2.
Jun 08 Cup Matches: Just a reminder, that the Dale and Sporting Trophies Cup matches will take place on Sunday 16th June.
Jun 08 Commentators Curse Strikes: Basford A pulled off a 2½-1½ victory over Florence A at the top of Men's 1, whilst Abbey View A are in danger of being cast adrift at the foot of the table. Florence C and Basford B continue to go well in Men's 3, whilst Endon B, Abbey View C and Stone C are all winless in Men 2.
Jun 01 Two Horse Race on Derby Day?: Florence A hold a 2 point lead over Draycott A at the top of Men's 1 as they begin to pull away from the rest of the field, whilst in the Ladies, Draycott A and Basford are also starting to edge clear. Westlands have dropped just 2 points in 4 games as they lie 2nd behind Stone B in Men's 2 but with a game in hand.
May 28 Hotting Up in the Pouring Rain: Teams are breaking away at the top in all Division's as the leagues start to settle down.
May 26 Westlands Make it 3 Out of 3: Westlands continued their good start to their campaign in Men's 2 with a third consecutive win, whilst in Mens 1, Florence A made it four consecutive wins.
May 21 Draycott Ladies Start Well: Draycott Ladies have made a good start to their defence of their title taking 7 points from their opening 2 games, whilst Florence A, Draycott A and Basford A have got off to flying starts in Mens 1. Mens 2 looks as though it will be tight.
May 12 Florence C Head Men's 3: Florence C have started men's 3 with 3 straight wins, whilst Basford B and Abbey View C have also made good starts.
May 10 Stone B and Florence B Off to Good Starts: Early days so far, but Stone B and Florence B have set off well in Men's 2.
May 10 New Team in Men's Division 3: There's a new team in Men's Division 3 so fixtures have been revised slightly. All we need now are some results for this division!
May 05 Good Starts for Congleton And Basford A: Congleton and Basford A maintained their unbeaten start to the new season in Men 1 whilst Florence A started their campaign with a whitewash.
May 01 Draycott C off to a Flyer: Draycott C opened up with a full house as they beat Stone C 4-0 in the opening match in Men's 2.
Apr 29 Good Starts for Draycott A and Endon A: Draycott A and Endon A both started the new season in good style with 3½-½ wins over Stone A and Draycott B respectively.

Introduction and Site Guide:
Welcome to the website of the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire City & Suburban Tennis League. The league has now been online since March 2000 and by following the links situated on the left hand side of the page you can take a look back at how the league was started and has developed over the years. Clubs have a chance to provide information about themselves, such as facilities they can offer and membership details. For each of the mens four divisions, the ladies two divisions and the mixed division there are details of up and coming fixtures, a comprehensive results service, and up to date league tables. The three cup competitions are also covered in similar detail. A list of previous winners of the leagues and cups is also available, and in the event of any misunderstandings during a match a copy of the leagues rules and regulations is provided. All the results and tables from the seasons 2000 to 2005 can be found in the archive section. There are also a number of links to other tennis websites.
